Numeracy
Work in Math this week will focus on Data Analysis. Last week you were presented with various sets of data that you graphed. This week you will use the data in the graphs to answer a variety of questions. There are 3 files that you will be working with. The first is a file that provides an introduction to data analysis. There are various terms and concepts that are explained. The second file is a collection of questions pertaining to the graphs last week. You will need to use the data from the graphs. It might also be advisable to download the data again from last week. The data is still available on the week #6 webpage. The third file contains a collection of data collected in the student survey at the start of week #6. You will be asked to complete some data analysis and create a new graph of a type appropriate to the data. On Friday, ensure that all your math work is submitted. This weeks work will be marked and your score returned to you.
With any extra time, or if you just want to do some extra practice, work on IXL Math. This week I would like you to concentrate on working on Section BB — Graphing and Data Analysis.

A STEM challenge has be included this week. The link below will take you to a Flip Grid site that Ms. Bartlett has set up for all the grade 6/7 students. The activity is described on this page. You can also click the link on the weekly calendar if you download a copy. You are asked to complete either of the activities listed and upload a video of yourself doing the activity to Flip Grid. If you unable to access the site or have a technical issue, just take a pic of you finished product and send it to your teacher. Do not sweat this activity too much. Flip Grid is a platform that we will most likely be using in the future, so it is a good idea to try it out.
