Reading
You will continue to fill out the Reading Log this week. You should be reading daily for 20 - 30 minutes. Remember to submit your reading log on Friday. I want to see what you are reading!

Writing
This week you will be working on two activities — TED Talks and Exploring Modern Art. The TED Talk will be major focus for the next 3 weeks.
• Home Learning Week 9 (June 1 – June 5) — Finding your topic
• Home Learning Week 10 (June 8 – June 12) — Preparing you presentation
• Home Learning Week 11 (June 15 – June 19) — Video of your TED Talk
The other activity you will be completing involves examining modern art. Complete the worksheets for 2 of the the modern art styles and then complete your own original composition inspired by the masters of modern art.

Numeracy
Work in Math this week include two activities. The first activity "Unhappy Meals" involves examining McDonald's Happy Meals. You have been given three days to complete this activity but it should not take that long to complete so you should have time for working on IXL Math. The second activity will have you doing some estimation and then testing your texting skills.
With any extra time, or if you just want to do some extra practice, work on IXL Math.

Other Activities
This week there are some band/music activities provided by Mr. Tsang. There is a video from Mr. Tsang for you to watch. There are also a collection of sheet music pieces for each of the major instruments. Make sure you access the piece of music for your instrument. Please complete the activities and email your activities to Mr. Tsang directly to his email — [email protected].

Daily Physical Activities (DPA) have been included again this week. Download the DPA Activity that you can try this week. There are no reflections on anything else to complete. Just try to do the activities and get some exercise and hopefully have some fun too!
